Gas-Lift Storage Options
End Gas Lift
The original gas-lift storage configuration turns a bed into an extra storage space that is easily accessible, without the need to undress / redress the bed or remove the mattress.
Side Gas Lift
Developed in response to the need for under-mattress storage when the foot-end isn’t accessible, the side gas-lift reorientates the way the mattress and bedding lifts up to reveal the space beneath.
This configuration also gave way to the high footend models, (wherein a regular end gas lift demands a low footboard for ease of access), a side gas lift allows for much higher and more decorative footboards.

As part of our dedication to on-going product safety, quality and usability, we have upgraded the user instructions that ship with our gas lift models.
The two main points we garnered from listening to end-user feedback were that we must remind people to NEVER operate a gas lift bed without a mattress on top and to NEVER attempt to close the gas-lift panel by pressing down on only one corner or edge.
In this article, we would like to present the updated documentation and expand on each point in more detail.
